Watch on
Half a year ago, in a packed Pionir Arena, he defended the welterweight title with a dominant performance in the second round against Savo Lazić (35, 11-7). FNC welterweight champion Nikola Joksović (29, 14-0) is aiming for his second title defense and fifth win in the cage of the strongest MMA promotion in Southeast Europe. He won't have an easy task ahead, as he faces off against one of the best Serbian welterweights, Stefan Negucić (30, 11-1), at the Ahilej FNC 17 Meridianbet Epic Clash.
Last year, the incredible Nikola racked up four victories and practically didn't leave the camp for the fight, and after six months, he faces a big challenge. With coach Nemanja Milošević and the team from Novi Sad, Car Dušan Silni, he's shown that he can win in all ways - whether by knockout, submission, or judges' decision. It's hard to surprise him, and he remains undefeated.
Stefan returns after a year and a half and wants to show that the injury hasn't set him back at all. He's shown bravery several times, especially in his last fight, and now he's looking to continue where he left off. A "easier" comeback fight wasn't an option; he accepted the challenge and prepared with Savo Lazić at the Belgrade Fight Company, hoping it's a winning strategy.
Just a reminder, the event is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st, at the Belgrade Arena, and tickets are selling fast. Get yours in time through the ddtickets.rs platform.
