Watch on
Shortly after signing with the best MMA promotion in Southeast Europe, Ante Delija (34, 24-6) has received his opponent for the upcoming spectacle in Stožice. He will face former UFC fighter and his previously scheduled PFL opponent, Yorgan De Castro (37, 12-6). Their heavyweight showdown will serve as the co-main event at FNC 22, set to take place on April 12 at Stožice Arena in Ljubljana.
One of the toughest warriors in the MMA world—a man who suffered a severe leg injury and fought his way back to become a PFL champion—Delija returns to the cage one year after his injury and loss to Valentin Moldavsky (33, 13-4). Before that, he was on a five-fight winning streak, winning the PFL heavyweight tournament and a $1 million prize, but ultimately, his heart led him back home.
Opposite him will stand a former contender for the interim FNC heavyweight title, who was originally set to fight champion Ivan Vitasović (33, 13-6-1) in Pula. However, after Vitasović suffered an injury, Miran 'Slo Rocky' Fabjan (39, 6-3) stepped in on short notice and won by knockout midway through the first round. Following that loss, De Castro went on to become the Cage Titans champion and also secured a victory in BKFC bare-knuckle boxing.
This unforgettable fight night is set for Saturday, April 12, starting at 7 PM. Tickets are available HERE via the Eventim system.
