A professional spectacle awaits us on March 30th in Ljubljana, and it has been heralded by outstanding matches put on by amateur fighters
Watch on
Another excellent amateur evening is behind us, serving as a prelude to FNC 15, which awaits us in Ljubljana on March 30th. We witnessed 11 excellent matches, and once again, the amateur fighters from the best regional team - American Top Team from Zagreb, led by Marko Ančić, stood out with another outstanding performance.
In the main event of the evening, we witnessed the stellar performance of one of the best amateur fighters, Marko Ančić, doing what he does best. It was practically a flawless display by the American Top Team fighter against a physically larger opponent in the form of Alekse Bijelović from Montenegro's Prometej. Ančić has been showing tremendous progress from fight to fight. He capitalized on every mistake of his opponent, taking him down to the ground and assertively building his position.
However, at no point was it merely "time collecting" in a dominant position; he consistently inflicted damage on his opponent. From the first round, he adapted his strategy and found a way to dominate. He attempted to finish the fight several times with submissions, and when he saw there was no time or when Aleksa defended well, he inflicted damage with strikes. He nearly ended the third round with a submission as well, and the question of the winner was never in doubt.
Among other fights, a highlight was the superb knockout by another Zagreb ATT fighter, Duje Vuković, who landed a beautiful hook and finished Zvezdan Đukić. Ognjen Radaković continued the excellent evening for fighters from the best regional team with a victory by unanimous decision in an outstanding match against the courageous Petar Ražov. It all started with Mario Glasnović, who choked out Niko Martan with a rear-naked choke in the first round.
Bokov Dzhokhar and Jan Todorovski also delivered excellent fights, but fighters from ATT suffered narrow losses by split decision to Robert Nedelcu and Uroš Mitić in fantastic matches. All of this was just a prelude to the spectacle that awaits us on Saturday, March 30th, at the Ljubljana Stožice Arena. Tickets are running out fast, so hurry to secure your copy in time, which you can do HERE.
