After the spectacle in Belgrade, the FNC caravan continued its journey, thrilling the audience in Banja Luka. FNC 18 Powered by Soccerbet concluded with a superb armbar by Marko Bojković (22, 7-0) against Arlen 'Benks' Ribeiro (33, 12-6-1) in the main event. Besides the main event, there were seven other top-notch fights, including the debut of ultimate kickboxing in the Fight Nation Championship cage.
Excellent choke by Serbian fighter concluded the prelims
The evening kicked off with three tough rounds between middleweights Frano Brnada (26, 2-0), who won by unanimous decision against Nicolae Gisce (25, 1-2). Following them, catchweight fighters up to 63 kilograms entered the cage, with Nikola Đurđev (26, 5-3) securing a first-round victory via choke against Pavo Sahota (30, 5-4).
Main Eve opened by two top talents. Serbian fighter Veljko Aleksić (22, 2-0) won after three exhausting rounds against Austrian Antonio Budimir (21, 2-1). In the heavyweight clash, although he ran out of steam in the third round, Montenegrin fighter Milenko Stamatović (30, 5-0) won by decision against Brazilian Carlos Eduardo (42, 20-12).
Dobrijević surprised Janičić in ultimate kickboxing debut, 'The Beast' triumphed
Local fighter Stefan Dobrijević (19, 1-0) celebrated a split decision victory over the more experienced Miloš Janičić (27, 0-1) in front of his home crowd. Ivan Sičaja (30, 6-1) ended Teo Saldana Smith's (29, 3-1) undefeated streak by unanimous decision.
In the co-main event, Tomislav 'The Beast' Spahović (34, 10-7) impressed with a first-round technical knockout victory over Shota Gvasalia (35, 12-10). The event concluded but won't be long before the next, as the traditional spectacle in the monumental Pula Arena awaits us on September 7 at FNC 19.
