After eight amazing fights, the icing on the cake of the biggest MMA spectacle in Balkan history was the victory of Darko 'Hammer' Stošić (32, 21-6), who went through two knockdowns and managed to finish the incredible Miran 'Slo Rocky' Fabjan (39, 4-3) in the main event of the Ahilej FNC 17 Meridianbet: Epic Clash event! The crowd went 'wild' from the very first match
After debuting with a win in Zagreb, Vojislav Simičić (22, 2-0) presented himself to the home crowd in the best possible way, finishing Jan Vaclavek (27, 4-1) with a technical knockout in the second round. In a bout between Serbian fighters that followed, Aleksandar 'Mlata' Vukosavljević (30, 2-0) stole the show. He was shaken within seconds of the fight but then celebrated a miraculous comeback against Andrija Stojiljković (24, 5-4).
The main card opened with the women's fight, where Marina Spasić (29, 5-0) celebrated with a technical knockout against Marina Nica (22, 5-3), showing she is ready for big things. The excitement continued to rise after Jovan Marjanović (26, 9-3) battered Brad Wheeler (33, 18-15) and finished with a technical knockout in the first round, though the Englishman deserves credit for his perseverance and resilience.
The fastest knockout in the organization's history
We witnessed the fastest knockout in FNC history when Marko Bojković (22, 6-0) finished Julio Pereira (26, 11-5) with practically his first strike. In a spectacular bare-knuckle boxing match, Vaso Bakočević (34, 5-0) celebrated a unanimous decision victory over Alexandre Ribeiro (31, 21-11-2-2).
Returning to the cage after five years, Dušan Džakić (37, 23-13) put on a superb fight but couldn't withstand the pressure from Francisco 'Croata' Barrio (34, 13-4), who ultimately won by unanimous decision. With a miraculous finish and an arm-triangle choke, Nikola Joksović (29, 15-0) defended his title for the second time, putting Stefan Negucić (29, 11-2) to sleep just one second before the end of the second round.
